Full and part-time positions are in high demand for massage therapists, and will be for some time to come. Massage therapists can earn a lucrative income depending on the number of hours worked, education level, continuing education and specialized skills, etc., with the added benefit of working in a career that you love.
Bodyworks offers a 625-hour diploma program designed to prepare the graduate for a successful massage therapy career working with the general public, and learning skills to confidently adapt to individual client goals. Classes are a combination of in-person and online classes; all massage theory and techniques, and clinical practice are in-person classes. Some classes in massage theory, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and learning muscles are online.
Class sizes are small and students range in age from 18-65 years, with students coming from different backgrounds – some right out of high school, some leaving careers they thought they would love, and others wanting something they can do in retirement years.
Classroom experiences are rich and diverse as students learn in a variety of ways. Our instructors employ different teaching techniques such as lecture, group interaction, audio/video, online, with the majority of focus being hands-on massage techniques.
Bodyworks Massage Institute has prepared students to excel in a massage therapy career for more than 25 years. Our experienced instructors and innovative curriculum provide a wide range of skills for graduates to consider numerous self-employment and employee opportunities, including massage therapy, spa, and health care facilities.

Testimonials
– Amanda B., Beaver Dam, KY
“Bodyworks Massage Institute is a place with heart. Cecile and all of the instructors love their work and truly care about their students—both on a personal level and in helping them succeed in the classroom, the clinic, and in the profession. The instructors are knowledgeable and accessible, the curriculum is comprehensive and well planned, and the selected textbooks are excellent. I am so glad that I found Bodyworks Massage Institute in my search for schools and I highly recommend this program.”
– Susan K, Bloomington, IN
“Any program can teach you the basics and prepare you to pass the final exam, but that’s not the Bodyworks way. The education I received was a strong foundation of history, understanding, and true belonging to the ongoing story of massage therapy. Because the Bodyworks instructors all have thriving careers and decades of experience in the profession, we dove deeper. Yes, I learned the curriculum and passed the exam, but this program taught me so much more about modalities, therapeutic applications, business management, and caring for myself while caring for others. It truly is a well-rounded program that is focused not just on this next step in your life being successful, but building your foundation so that all the steps you take from here are supported and rooted on solid ground.”
– Beth T, Henderson KY
“Learning the art and science of massage at Bodywork’s has been life changing. It was so much different than any classroom setting I’ve ever been in. Our instructors were focused on our application and intent of massage. It didn’t matter if we weren’t straight A students. I made life long relationships with my classmates and lifelong mentors with my instructors. I was fully prepared for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Exam, and passed it on the first attempt. You couldn’t ask for a better program or better people.”
– Emily H, Mt. Carmel, IL
“I was so impressed with the quality of the massage education I received at Bodyworks Massage Institute. I was a totally blind student, and the instructors and classmates went out of their way to help me achieve my goal of becoming a massage therapist. Cecile and her instructors provide a very caring and professional atmosphere in all their interactions with their students.
“The massage program at Bodyworks is very comprehensive and covers all aspects of massage therapy. Along with the anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques courses, Bodyworks places emphasizes on the caring and supporting aspects of massage therapy.
“Bodyworks is much more like a family than just a training facility. Massage therapy is a challenging and rewarding career, and I don’t think you could find a better place to prepare yourself than at Bodyworks Massage Institute!”
– Susan N, Henderson, KY
