As a school community we are here to provide an environment of cooperation and support in learning the art and science of therapeutic massage. Participating in this massage therapy program will open your hands and heart to a new level of awareness and communication in your life and in the lives of those around you.
Bodyworks Massage Therapy was founded in 1998 with the mission of providing Evansville and surrounding communities with the highest quality Massage Therapy services available. We believe that providing knowledgeable and compassionate touch in a quiet, nurturing and spiritually uplifting environment can help to alleviate many of the aches and pains of our over-stimulated lifestyles.
Bodyworks Massage Institute was established in 2000 by Cecile Martin as an extension of the philosophy of Bodyworks Massage Therapy. Years of training, personal experience, teaching and practice in the fields of Massage Therapy and related modalities has enabled Cecile to vision the growth of the school as it is today.
“Attending Massage Therapy School is much more than learning techniques. It is a personal growth process that occurs naturally in an environment of trust and encouragement. At Bodyworks our goal is to see that each student acquires the skills to become fluent and confident in their new profession as a Massage Therapist. It is a privilege to provide this opportunity to our students and to our communities.”

“Bodyworks Massage Institute is a place with heart. Cecile and all of the instructors love their work and truly care about their students—both on a personal level and in helping them succeed in the classroom, the clinic, and in the profession. The instructors are knowledgeable and accessible, the curriculum is comprehensive and well planned, and the selected textbooks are excellent. I am so glad that I found Bodyworks Massage Institute in my search for schools and I highly recommend this program.” – Susan K, Bloomington, IN
“Bodyworks is definitely the place for your next step in a holistic, yet practical education of massage therapy! Having owned a spa for 6 years, every day still brings an opportunity to apply knowledge learned from the start. The educators and staff are more than ready to help at any turn, and will show up for you in ways that are life-changing! Any time I’ve been in group settings of MTs, particularly in continuing education, Bodyworks students were always more educated and better prepared than others who often complained of a very cold, clinical type of schooling. If you are looking for quality, heart-centered FUNdamentals in the total experience of massage therapy and beyond, Bodyworks is the best!” — Jenifer Blevins, New Harmony, IN
“I was so impressed with the quality of the massage education I received at Bodyworks Massage Institute. I was a totally blind student, and the instructors and classmates went out of their way to help me achieve my goal of becoming a massage therapist. Cecile and her instructors provide a very caring and professional atmosphere in all their interactions with their students.
“The massage program at Bodyworks is very comprehensive and covers all aspects of massage therapy. Along with the anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques courses, Bodyworks places emphasizes on the caring and supporting aspects of massage therapy.
“Bodyworks is much more like a family than just a training facility. Massage therapy is a challenging and rewarding career, and I don’t think you could find a better place to prepare yourself than at Bodyworks Massage Institute!”
