Frequently Asked Questions
Our therapists schedule appointments Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please call in advance to schedule your appointment.
How and when should I make my massage therapy or spa appointments?
Please call Bodyworks at 812-490-9009 to make your appointment. We encourage you to schedule your services several days to a week in advance of your visit to ensure the widest selection of treatments and appointment times. Spa Treatment and Massage Therapy weekend appointments are reserved with a credit card number, however, your credit card will not be charged prior to your arrival. You may choose any payment method you desire upon check-in. Your credit card will only be charged in the event that another payment method is not chosen, or if you fail to show up for your appointment without canceling 24 hours prior.
What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel your appointment without charge so long as it is done at least 24 hours in advance. Same day cancellations will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price. No-call, no-shows can be charged full price for the scheduled service.
How should I tip my therapist?
All tips are greatly appreciated, and should reflect one’s satisfaction with the service.
What time should I arrive for my massage therapy or spa service?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start time of your first scheduled service to give you time to check in with your massage therapist.
What if I’m late?
Arriving late will limit the time for your treatment. Your treatment will end on time so that the next client is not inconvenienced. The full treatment price will apply.
What should I wear during my massage?
Before your session, your therapist will take you to your private treatment room and explain how the service will begin. He or she will then leave the room to allow you time to get comfortable under a sheet. During your session you will be professionally draped at all times – the therapist will only uncover the body part he or she is working on at the time. After the session, your therapist will leave the room again to allow you privacy to get dressed. Some clients are more comfortable leaving their undergarments on or wearing a bathing suit or during massage service.
Can I use my cell phone?
In order to preserve the relaxing environment of our facility, we do ask that you turn off your cell phone, e-mail and other electronic devices.
Can I request my therapist?
Please let us know if you prefer to work with a particular massage therapist. If you do not have a preference, you will be scheduled based on the availability of our therapists during the time of your request.
Should I shave before my services?
Although this is a personal decision, we recommend allowing 12 hours between shaving and receiving any service that involves an exfoliation (body scrubs) to decrease the risk of skin irritation or discomfort.
What are my responsibilities as a client?
Please advise your therapist of any special requests, sensitivities or allergies, if you are nursing, breast-feeding, or taking any medications. This information will be requested of you in the health history form you will fill out before your service. We also appreciate you sharing any pertinent information when you call to make your massage or spa appointments. We will use this information to keep you comfortable and safe throughout your experience. Please notify us of any discomfort or preferences regarding room temperature, music volume, or massage pressure during your session.
What services can I receive if I am pregnant?
Once you are safely into your second trimester, you may receive a prenatal massage. Most expectant moms can also enjoy a foot hydrotherapy treatment. We recommend that you check with your physician before booking any massage therapy or spa service. We will not perform hot stone treatment, deep tissue work, or Thai massage on expectant guests.
What if I have special medical conditions?
We recommend that you check with your physician before receiving massage therapy or a spa treatment. Please notify us of any special needs or concerns when you schedule your appointment. Your therapist will also briefly review your health history with you before beginning your session. If he or she believes that the service you have scheduled is unsafe for you based on any information given, he or she may recommend another service instead, or modifying the service to make it safe for you. As we are most interested in your safety and comfort, we reserve the right to refuse service to any guest at any time.
